I wouldn't recommend this combination. You say you have dark brown hair but you want light pink highlights. You are going to have to bleach the heck out of those highlights first in order to get them light enough to accept the light pink colour. This is going to be very drying on your hair.

On a fashion note- bold highlights are very ';over'; these days. Instead of pink try a warm caramel colour. It will be flattering to your colouring and look great in your hair.

If you *must* have those pink highlights make sure you go to a professional to get them done. There aren't any products on the shelves that will get your hair light enough and you'll end up with gold/rosy coloured highlights..at the very best.Would Light Pink Highlights Look Good With Dark Brown Hair?
My friend and I just did that, im blonde and mine turned out perfect, but its temporary (4 weeks), her hair is dark brown and it looks horrid. Its more of a redish-purpleish, she ended up needing to go to a expensive salon, and stripping and re-dying her hair because it wouldnt dye without stripping!! so i wouldnt recomend it!!!1
That depends on your age and personality. I think that adding pink to your hair would be cute if you:

1. Are under 25

2. Are not looking to have a well-paid job

3. Have a spunky outlook on life

4. It is the summer

5. It is well mantained and not scraggly. Roots should not show.

There are plenty of exceptions to these guidelines .... PLENTY ... However if you go to businesses and upscale restaurants, etc. you will notice that people don't have pink in their hair.

HOWEVER ... many people do have funky hair-dos. It depends on what is appropriate for your immediate goals, and for the bigger picture in your walk of life.

In the dead of summer, when I have been on a budget, I have often used a 'clay' like hair-product and done a few strands with tight braids. I have used a needle and thread to seal it.

I place them in discreet places, often under the hair, so if I have to dress up they are neatly tucked into a pony-tail.
Nah!!!!!!Don't do that to yourself you will look like a d@m fool
Brown and pink look great together, but I don't think it will on hair. But if you do you should get it just in the front not all over and it should be hot pink not light because it will fade to a light pink anyway.
it would be better if your hair were black and then if you got pink highlights it be cool
Go with something more ';natural'; like golden highlights or even blonde. As you know with brown hair when lightening it you will have to ';get past'; the reddish, then the ORANGE and then the yellow orange! How do you do that? Simple: lighten your hair to about the lightest you want to go and then be sure to apply a toner. Toners don't change the color of your natural hair, only the parts that were lightened and toners come in just about every shade under the sun.

Going too drastic might be something you would be really sorry for having tried and like a tattoo it is hard to undo once you have committed to it. I don't think that the color of the highlights is the question here because a toner will produce most any color; the question is how drastic you want to go. Remember that you can always do ';more later'; but you can't do less if you get too much the first time.
I think it would! And if you're really spontanious, you could die the whole underside of your hair pink! I like colorful highlights, like Avril Lavigne's!
Well if you have dark brown hair then.....well it will al depend on how dark the pink is.

I think a very light blonde strand would look pretty. My mom has dark brown hair and she has blonde highlights and i think the hair is awesome!!
