Um i have dark hair and i want to know what the best way of adding a little pink to my hair?Do you think it would look bad if i put pink highlights or something in my darkish brown hair
All of these people are crazy. It doesn't look bad at all!! I've done it and I've gotten so many compliments on it.





To add pink hair dye, you're going to have to bleach the sections you want to dye pink first, which will cause some damage to your hair.





If you don't want to damage your hair with bleach, you can always buy clip in extensions, or go to a salon and get a few extensions there. And with extensions you can always get a few different colors and switch them around every so often for a different look.





Pink does fade fairly quickly, so extensions might be your best bet. If you end up doing this yourself at home, with bleach and pink hair dye, you can just keep retouching the pink whenever it fades. It's pretty easy to upkeep. I find that when mine fades, I just quickly streak the pink hair dye through, leave it on for a few minutes and wash out. It takes not even a half an hour.

Depends on the pink.


Really dark brown = really light or bright pink


Hazelly-dark brown = a bit brighter


Blonde-brown = either really light pink or really bright pink





Or you could apply that for dark pink as well, but a contrast looks better on dark hair. It shouldn't look too bad. Also, first buy a spray in to see if it looks good or not so then you can wash it out. And then if you want it permanently you can go to a hairstylist, because a lot of homemade dyes turn your hair the wrong color.
well i think you definatly should. It would look awesome. I have dark brown hair and about a year ago i put pink highlights in mine. it looks really cool :) you'll like it. well i think if you do you should go to a salon, but i just bought a box of pink highlighting hair dye from walmart and i did it myself. it turned out really good actually and stayed for about 4 months. good luck :)

i have dark hair as well and i went to cvs to get the l'oreal fuscia highlighting kit, it comes out great!!! gl :)
dark brown hair looks really gooid with red so if the pink highlights had some redish colour in them it would look good! as long as there not too too bright.
it wouldn't look bad as long as you don't put alot and over do it.
Uhm, I'd not like it. I'm going by my hair because its dark too. I think you should go with somewhat of a bluish/ silver color.
